Do Not Blink; Your Mind is Being Refreshed
Last night my family was invited out to an early preview event at the Darien Library because we donated to the capital campaign for their new building. There were certainly a lot of really cool new technologies there such as a geothermal heating and cooling system and a fully automated radio frequency identification book return system. I however want to tell you about just one thing; I thought by far the coolest thing in the new library was actually in the children's section; the Darien Library has become the first library in the world to feature a Microsoft Surface! Though it's current application is limited to the standard water over rocks screen saver, the library hopes to add many more educational and fun applications for the kids such as a drawing and painting application and Google Earth, a program that allows it's users to explore the world! I snapped a few photos with my cellular telephone and attached them to this posting for your viewing plesure.
On a side note, stay tuned to my professonal website,
www.AndrewKostin.com. It should be seeing a bit of a face lift over the next few weeks including High-Defanition Video.

Twitter, I know it's been forever since I've updated this. I am trying to be very careful about what I put out there because inevitably everything I write is indexed by Google and read by potential employers, not that I would be saying anything they would not like.
I did want to let people know that I finally just joined twitter today, I believe the URL is
http://twitter.com/andrewkostin but again I will be relatively restrictive with my postings.
If you are a potential employer and have stumbled upon my blog I would encourage you to take a look at my professional website,
http://andrewkostin.com. Unfortunately I am having trouble keeping it on the first page of my Google search results but it is a great resource for finding my most current biographical and contact information. I have a resume posted on the site and will write cover letters upon request. Currently, at the time of this writing, I am seeking internship and employment opportunities for Summer 2009 and beyond in fields where my skills in business can fill a need.
